Neyoro™ 28 Family

The perfect alloys for high precision sliding contacts. Our Neyoro 28 series are soft gold-silver alloys with small amounts of other metals added to produce the varying degrees of hardness needed for specific applications. The Neyoro 28 Series are extremely resistant to tarnish and corrosion and have low resistivity and maintain low contact resistance over long periods of service. Neyoro 28 is a binary gold-silver alloy that is softer than either Neyoro 28A or B, but in other respects its properties are similar

Neyoro 28 was developed specifically as a sliding contact material for use in potentiometers wound with relatively soft copper-nickel resistance wires such as constantan, where a soft contact is desirable to avoid excessive wear of the winding.  It is quite ductile in either the cold-worked or annealed condition.

Paliney® 7

A superior alloy for demanding, low energy electrical contacts.

Similar to Paliney 6, Paliney 7 is a palladium-silver age-hardenable alloy that also contains 10% gold and 10% platinum. This alloy, with over 50 years of reliable service, is ideally suited for those demanding applications in which extremely long life, stable contact resistance, and low electrical noise are critical.
Paliney 7 features include high resistance to corrosion and tarnish while providing the mechanical properties of beryllium copper.
Applications include guidance systems for military hardware, satellite communications, high-speed slip rings, and drug-delivery systems.
Paliney 7 meets ASTM Standard B540 for electrical contact alloys.

Paliney® H3C

Paliney® H3C, which stands for High-Hardness / High Conductivity, is a patented Palladium, Copper and Silver based alloy designed for applications such as semiconductor test probes where extreme hardness and higher levels of electrical conductivity are required.
Paliney H3C is the hardest of the Paliney family of alloys produced to-date by Deringer-Ney.
This alloy is designed to be drawn down to wire diameters as fine as 0.001" and to allow secondary processing operations including forming, coining and pointing.

The Deringer Manufacturing Company was founded over 60 years ago and has been recognized as a market leader for the supply of electrical contact parts and assemblies.  The business has diversified through the years and now includes the capability to produce ultra-small, precision metal components utilizing our unique MICROmfg™ cold forming technology. We provide components to a diverse customer base with major customers in the automotive, appliance controls, electrical controls, military & aerospace as well as medical equipment and device industries.   Manufacturing centers are located in Marshall North Carolina and Nogales, Sonora, MX with engineering and design support in Tucson, AZ.

The J.M. Ney Company was founded in 1812 and has been in continuous operation since.  The company initially offered gold refining services and was one of the first companies to do so in North America.  From the mid 1800’s through the latter part of the 20th century, the company continued to expand capabilities to invent new materials and provide numerous products to meet the needs of an ever changing dental products marketplace.  In the 1950’s the business diversified to include the development of custom alloys and precision components for many industrial, automotive and emerging electronic device applications.  The dental business was divested during the mid-1990s. 

Today, we are the global market leader in the invention and application of custom precious metal
alloys and precision machined, stamped, insert molded and wireformed components for a diverse global customer base.  Applications include automotive position sensing, low current sliding electrical contacts, dental implant materials and components, semiconductor wafer level and package testing, military and aerospace components and materials and components for interventional and implantable medical devices. The manufacturing center is still located in Bloomfield, CT with both engineering and design support services on site.
