Antibiotic Resistance Detection
INTER-ARRAY is specialized in the development and production of microarrays – modern biochemical assay systems that allow parallel analysis of many individual determinants including proteins, peptides, antibodies, oligonucleotides, cells and cell lysates, carbohydrates, particles and chemical compounds.
In the field of antibiotic resistance there is a high potential and an urgent need to develop detection formats for applications where multiple analytes can be determined from a single sample. In addition these tests have to be fast, low-priced and should not require a complex molecular biological lab equipment. Human and veterinary patients worldwide are threatened today by multi-resistant gram-negative bacteria (MRGN), especially by their Carbarpenemases and ESBLs, as well as by MRSA and Vancomycin-resistant Enterococci (VRE) as gram-positive pathogens, and in case of an infection have to be isolated to prevent outbreaks in hospitals or big herds. Because of this significant risk we need fast and reliable diagnostic tests to prevent nosocomial transmissions and further increase of antibiotic resistances.
INTER-ARRAY is looking for interested customers to support them in the implementation of their ideas regarding this topic, but also in any other field that requires multiparameter assays (e.g. food safety, feed, allergies, diseases). Together with INTER-ARRAY the customer can realize his concept with a microarray on demand from the design, pre-study, feasibility, verification and validation, until contract manufacturing (OEM).
