Digitaler Temperatursensor STS3x

Leistungsstärkster Temperatursensor für eine Vielzahl von Anwendungen
Der STS3x ist Sensirions hochgenauer digitaler Temperatursensor. Der Temperatursensor nutzt Sensirions bewährte CMOSens® Technologie und überzeugt mit erweitertem Leistungsumfang, NIST-Rückverfolgbarkeit, erhöhter Zuverlässigkeit und verbesserter Genauigkeit.

Für die Temperaturkalibrierung verwendet Sensirion Transferstandards, die einem geplanten Kalibrierungsverfahren unterliegen. Die Kalibrierung der Referenz, die für die Kalibrierung der Transferstandards verwendet wird, ist NIST rückführbar durch ein nach ISO/IEC 17025 akkreditiertes Labor.

Die Funktionalität von Sensirions Temperatursensor STS3x beinhaltet eine verbesserte Signalverarbeitung, zwei charakteristische und vom Benutzer definierbare I2C-Adressen sowie Kommunikationsgeschwindigkeiten von bis zu 1 MHz. Das Dual-flat-no-Leads (DFN) hat ein Gehäuse von 2.5 × 2.5 mm2 und bewahrt sich eine Höhe von 0.9 mm. Dies ermöglicht eine einfache Integration in diverse Anwendungen. Zusätzlich garantiert der breite Betriebsspannungsbereich von 2.15 bis 5.5 V und der geringe Energieverbrauch (1.7µA, typischer Durchschnittswert bei einer Messung pro Sekunde) Kompatibilität mit zahlreichen Applikationen.

Der Temperatursensor STS3x liefert ein vollständig kalibriertes, linearisiertes und spannungskompensiertes digitales Ausgangssignal bei einer herausragenden Genauigkeit von bis zu ±0.1 °C. Er ist in drei Ausführungen erhältlich: Bei der Standardausführung STS31 wird die Genauigkeit von ±0.2 °C über einen T-Bereich von 0 bis 90 °C gewährleistet, während der T-Bereich bei der kostengünstigen Alternative STS30 bei 0 bis 65 °C liegt. Die High-End Version STS35 hat die höchste Genauigkeit von ±0.1 °C über einen T-Bereich von 20 bis 60 °C.

Sensirion's flow platform SFM3xxx includes sensors for inspiratory, expiratory and proximal flow measurement as well as gas mixing in ventilation and anesthesia applications. The SFM3xxx platform from Sensirion consists of multiple flow sensors with comprehensive capabilities for a diverse range of medical applications. Mass Flow Meter SFM3300

Proximal Flow Sensors (Autoclavable / washable or single-use)
The SFM3300 mass flow meter is a sensor for proximal flow measurement in respiratory applications such as ventilation or anesthesia. There are two versions available: the SFM3300-AW is autoclavable and washable and the SFM3300-D is single-use.

The SFM3300 features outstanding measuring accuracy and robustness as well as a short signal processing time. The digital flow sensor measures bidirectional flow volumes of up to 250 slm and is fully calibrated for air, N2 and O2 gases. The special design of the flow channel results in a low dead space volume and the slightly greater pressure drop ensures more stability compared to variable inlet conditions. The sensor also features medical cones for pneumatic connection to the respiratory cycle and has a mechanical interface for a user-friendly electrical connection. Thanks to its performance characteristics, the SFM3300 mass flow meter is ideally suited for single-use proximal flow measurements in medical ventilation, hospital applications, residential care applications and emergency situations.

Like all Sensirion sensors, the SFM3300 is based on the innovative CMOSens® Technology, which combines the sensor element and processing electronics on a single, tiny CMOS microchip. Differential Pressure Sensor SDP3x

The World's Smallest Differential Pressure Sensor
The SDP3x is the world's smallest differential pressure sensor. It measures just 5 mm x 8 mm x 5 mm, opening up new dimensions of integration and application possibilities. The sensor is based on the next generation of the CMOSens® sensor chip and is the heart of Sensirion's new sensor platform for measuring differential pressure and mass flow. 

The SDP3x differential pressure is ideal for the measurement of mass flow in a bypass configuration. The sensor is reflow solderable, provides extended functionality, such as multiple I2C addresses and interrupt functions and a fast sampling time. Like all Sensirion differential pressure sensors, the SDP3x features excellent accuracy and long-term stability and has no zero-point drift. All this makes Sensirion's differential pressure sensor of the SDP3x series the perfect choice for high volume and cost-sensitive applications, where small size is essential.

The digital and fully calibrated and temperature compensated differential pressure sensor are available in different versions. The digital SDP31 sensor and the analog SDP36 sensor measure bi-directional pressure differences up to 500 Pa, while the digital SDP32 and the analog SDP37 measure bi-directional pressure differences up to 125 Pa.

An evaluation kit is available that enables simple and cost-effective evaluation of the SDP3x differential pressure sensor.

The new digital SHT3x humidity sensor series takes sensor technology to a new level. As the successor of the SHT2x series it is determined to set the next industry standard in humidity sensing. Easy Evaluation of the Mass Flow Meters SFM3xxx-AW and SFM3xxx-D

Sensirion, the worldwide leading manufacturer of high-quality flow and environmental sensors, is launching a new evaluation kit. With the EK-F3x-CAP, expiratory and proximal sensors of the SFM3xxx platform can be tested quickly and easily. The evaluation kit works with both the disposable and reusable variants of the flow sensors.

The EK-F3x-CAP evaluation kit offers a simple and cost-effective way to test sensors of the SFM3xxx platform. The set consists of a USB cable which connects to the corresponding flow meters. Using the software available online, the sensors can be quickly tested under real-life conditions. There is no need to program a microprocessor as the evaluation kit can be directly connected to a PC. The software shows the measurement data directly on the user's computer screen. Furthermore, the data can be exported into an Excel spreadsheet which can then easily be saved and further processed.

The Sensirion SFM3xxx platform includes sensors for inspiratory, expiratory and proximal flow measurement, as well as gas mixing in ventilation and anesthesia applications. Flow Sensor Solution for Ventilators: Patient-side and Accurate, Easy-to-Use and Safe

Flow sensor solutions for ventilators that include connectors and cable interfaces were launched in February 2019. They enable patient-side measurement of inhalation and exhalation flows. The different standardized variants are available to medical technology OEMs free of development and tooling costs. They are the product of the cooperation between the sensor manufacturer Sensirion AG and medical technology cable and connector specialist Nicolay GmbH.

The requirements for patient-oriented ventilation which takes individual pathophysiology of the patient into account represents a challenge to the manufacturers of modern ventilators. It requires highly accurate inspiratory and expiratory gas flow measurements. Classic sensors installed inside a ventilator and distal from the patient make it difficult to achieve the required accuracy. Nicolay and Sensirion took on this challenge and launched a sensor-connector-cable solution that provides accurate, patient-side measurement while delivering a reliable flow signal to the ventilator. The solution includes different options of cables and connectors in order to reliably transport calibrated and temperature-compensated output signals of the sensor back to the ventilator. These options also ensure, among other features, compatibility with a variety of communication protocols. This sensor-connector-cable combination is now also available in Distribution.
