  Fair Hotel Conditions for Exhibitors

After nine months of preparation, the initiative "FairFairs Hotel" was founded by Messe Düsseldorf and the Hotel & Restaurant Association in March of 2004. The goal of the initiative is to guarantee fair hotel conditions for exhibitors at major trade fairs in North Rhine-Westphalia. To date, more than 170 hotels in Düsseldorf and the surrounding Rhineland area have accepted the obligation to meet these conditions.

Sufficient hotel capacities were available for short-term booking during drupa 2004 in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area. This was due to shorter-term booking supported by electronic media, new hotel capacities and optimized traffic routing to and from the Messe Düsseldorf trade fair grounds.

New hotels at different quality levels will be completed in the coming years in Düsseldorf and the Rhineland, which will enable exhibitors in particular to book the hotel rooms they need for next ComPaMD at much shorter notice than in the past. This means bookings can be made to suit individual needs by selecting from among a much improved, much larger range of competing hotels.
